For my negative space drawing, I used a warm color scheme. These colors make the chair, lamp, and easel pop out of the background. I used 2D, geometric shapes in the background. All of the shapes were rectangles but I used different sizes of each. There is also a sense of space created in this piece of artwork. The decreasing size of the rectangles makes it seem further away, and the warm colors make the objects look closer. Rhythm is also used throughout this piece. The rectangles are repeating over and over again and creates a certain beat in it. There are also a lot of lines used here. The lines of the objects that form the 3D images of the chair, lamp, and easel, and there are also the lines that form the 2D shapes in the background.
